Water Ingress & Pre-Existing Defects
While every reasonable care is taken during the roof cleaning process, the Client acknowledges that cleaning may reveal pre-existing defects that were previously concealed by dirt, moss, lichen, mould, debris or general weathering.
These defects may include, but are not limited to, deteriorated screw seals, failed flashings, damaged ridge capping, cracked or broken tiles, degraded sealants, corroded fixings, blocked drainage systems, or other conditions affecting the roof’s watertight integrity.
Roof cleaning is a maintenance service only and is not a test, repair, or guarantee of a roof’s watertightness. Elite Cleaning WA is not responsible for water ingress or consequential damage arising from pre-existing defects, poor installation, age-related deterioration, lack of maintenance, or structural deficiencies that existed prior to the commencement of works.
Where defects are identified during the service, the Client will be advised where reasonably practicable.
The property owner remains responsible for arranging any necessary repairs to restore or maintain the roof’s watertight integrity.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
